Consultations & deposits

When you book an appointment, a $100 deposit is required to secure your consultation time.

Depending on your preference, the deposit can be deducted from the price of your consultation or kept on file as a credit for future treatments or consultations.

Some treatments can be performed on the day of your consultation, while others may require additional planning or discussion. If a treatment is more complex or requires more thinking time, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled, and full financial consent will be completed during your consultation.

Let me know if you'd like any further adjustments!

What consultation should I book?

To ensure the best care, our team may ask about your concerns when booking your appointment. This helps allocate the appropriate time needed based on the complexity of your needs.

You will always see Dr. Will Cranwell for your consultation. If required, he may introduce you to another member of the team for an additional complimentary consultation to discuss skincare or specific treatments.

Our consultations are divided into:

  • New Medical Dermatology Consultation – For first-time medical dermatology concerns.

  • New Cosmetic Dermatology Consultation – A comprehensive whole-face assessment for new cosmetic patients.

  • Review Medical Dermatology Consultation – For follow-up medical dermatology concerns.

  • Review Cosmetic Dermatology Consultation – For ongoing cosmetic treatment planning and review.

If you are unsure, please call the team at Dermatology Clinics Australia on (07) 3088 6999 to be booked appropriately.

Can I get a quote for treatment prior to attending?

It’s completely understandable that new patients want an idea of treatment costs before booking. However, due to AHPRA and TGA regulations, clinics are no longer permitted to advertise or provide pricing details before a consultation.

More importantly, every face and body is unique, and treatment costs vary depending on individual needs. Without a thorough consultation, it’s impossible to determine what treatments or products will be most suitable. Dr. Cranwell encourages patients to approach their consultation with an open mind—pricing should not be the primary focus. Instead, the goal is to create a safe, holistic, and natural-looking result tailored to you.

Key regulatory changes from March 7, 2024, include:

  • Pricing can no longer be advertised but will be discussed during your consultation.

  • Treatments involving prescription medications cannot be specifically advertised. New patients should book a ‘New Patient Consultation’, where Dr. Cranwell will outline suitable treatment options.

  • Before-and-after images of prescription-based treatments are no longer permitted on websites or social media (this does not include laser and energy based devices).

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out before your appointment.
